Up to my neck in nursing paperwork and studying, which drives me nuts since I suck at studying. i've never had to do it. Before it's just been read it, hear it, know it, call it a day. Now there's tons and tons and tons of stuff to know that's never covered in class. How am I supposed to learn something when they don't tell me what to know?! Drives me nuts!

Red Bull Cola needs to come in cases. Really does.

Prepare to the Death March

Back in the first round of college, the "death march" is when you know there' sno way for you to finish the project but you keep on going anyway to the inevitable doom at the other end. This coming semester of nursing school is going to be a total death march. Don't know how I'm going to manage 40 + hours in class + work + the massive amounts of studying I have to do.

That is of course if they even let me go to class since my state clearences still haven't shown up despite sending out the money and the paperwork months ago.

Just have 5 days to get 6 comic pages pretty much finished, another 8 inked, and two comissions finished. Another death march..I have a collection going.

Listening to "I Love the (18)80s" mix. Good orchestral times.

So everybody is freaking out about the government and healtcare and they wonder why pharmacies are handing out the happy pills left and right and sales of alcohol are up. People are miserable. I'd like to say that I have some big plan or opinion but I don't. I know that normal hard working people have no influence what so ever over what their government does. Only the rich and powerful can do that. A minimum wage slave like me, eh, yeah I stand a better chance at bending a spoon with my mind than making a political difference.

All I gotta say is this: healthcare is a RIGHT, not something that only the rich get. I know tons of hard working people, people who are working two and three jobs just to get by. They can't afford healthcare alright. They need help but there isn't a good option for them now. I can barely afford anything and I dread when the bills come in for all the testing before nursing school starts.

To those who think that seeing a doctor is something that not every person should have, well see how long you keep up that view when you know lots of people who have no teeth, NONE because they can't even afford a damn dentist alright. When you know people who have diabetes like crazy and can't do a thing about it. I'm tired of seeing patients have to choose between keeping the lights on or taking the pills that keep them from having a seizure and dying ok.

You can put a price on your childhood

So my folks came up this weekend to move pretty much everything from my child hood room up to my new house, despite me not asking for everything lol. So it's taking forever to sort through everything. I sold my old band flute to a nice family for 50 bucks. I miss the thing but I know I"ll never play it again and there's nothing sadder than an instrument that nobody plays.

My piano ended up here but without it's cables! But at least the guitar is working well; time to relearn everything I forgot in between school, work, and commissions

New brush set

So I'm working on a new brush set, well it's more than just a brush set. It includes the brush set, matching swatch set, and layer styles to go with it. Right now just working on the demos to go with it before I post it on Turbosquid and Renderosity. It's a pay set, sorry, but I"ll post the demo up for people to see.

It's Morbidity and Mortality set with wounds, skin texture, and more brushes for everything from pretty healthy skin realism to nasty wounds, scars, and bruises. Layer styles for new and old scars, punctures, tears, healing wounds, infected wounds, puss, blood, tears etc. Swatches for bruises in all stages of aging as well as skin tones for most nationalities and interior flesh tones (open wounds and blood).

So yeah anybody who wanted the master set for everything from pretty portraits to gory dark photomanips will find something their style. I'll probably release just the "pretty skin texture" brushes as a tiny cheaper pack for people who only want the pretty part and none of the gore.
