So in the summer season, everybody here does there own thing in between possible jobs. You'd think that would be great! And for the most part..yeah its good. But I still can't help but worry that I'm left out of the loop once again; do they not need me? Am I not reading their minds correctly? I spend my days leveling up my skills (2d art, 3d modeling, animation and all that, After Effects etc...) and working on other things, preparing for a hopefully busy season soon but I still can't help being paranoid that I'm gonna come into work and get the big GTFO USELESS PIXEL FUCKER! stamp on my forehead.

I know I should be working on my portfolio just incase but I don't even know what to do anymore. When i was leaving college I was trying to get a job in 3d modeling, but things have changed so quickly that now my skills are useless to movie or game companies. I don't have any obvious talents that are hireable in the mainstream. Update my portfolio? With what?! Do what?!!

I just keep telling myself that I have to hang on as the major bread winner for two more years...two more years until my fiance gets his damn degree and takes over as the main provider...then i can really focus. Work on getting into the novel/graphic comic business or at least do commissions more. Pipe dream I know...

I keep going to the gym but it's not doing much; sure I get some stress out but if anything I've gained weight.

So here I am, like my guy says, "prepare for the war that might never come!"
